What is the Electoral Roll?
The Electoral Roll is a list maintained by the parish which covers the whole parish including Christ Church and St Barnabas. It tells us (and the diocese and national church) how many people count themselves as part of our community. It is updated annually and fully revised every six years (meaning everyone has to reapply on the sixth year).
Why should I apply to join the roll?
Applying to join the electoral roll is a way of showing that you are part of our parish family and gives you a voice in shaping the future of our parish, for example by voting for representatives for the PCC, Deanery Synod and Churchwardens.
Being on the church mailing list and/or giving regularly doesn’t automatically add you to the Electoral Roll – you need to complete the form linked below to apply.
Who can apply?
Anyone who is 16 or over, is baptised and either lives in the parish or has regularly attended worship in the parish for at least six months.
Not yet baptised and would like to make this public commitment? We have baptism services coming up on Sunday 4th April and 24th May 2026 – please contact office@chilwellparish.org.uk to find out more or express interest.
